Love-Hate

July 1, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I’ve always loved Singapore Changi Airport. I don’t mind travelling 2 hours to the airport to have a bite of Popeyes and proceed to the viewing hall to look at the planes taking off.
I love to be inside of the airport and stare at the Air Steward and Stewardess walking around smartly in their uniform.
I especially love the feeling of being in the airport when it was my turn to fly.
I love to pick on several passengers at the departure gate and make wild guesses about why do they have to travel.

Whenever I walk pass the departure hall and see people crying their eyes out and blowing their noses red, I would used to think ” Why leave? You’re making every one upset.” Because I always thought that the choice is in your hand, you choose to leave, now you get what you want. So you jolly well show me your set of sparkling white teeth at the departure gate.

One week before I came back from my holiday, Mum called me and told me that Dad’s going overseas for work. I thought as long as we do our part in cutting down the expenses, then there’s no need for dad to travel so far away to work.

Three days after I came back from my holiday, it was dad’s turn to fly. He choose to go overseas. Not because he wants to travel (like me). He was very reluctant to go over, he loves being here. When I asked him about his decision,
he told me: I love this family too much that I want to give the best to all of you.
And he added: I’m sure I can persevere, because I know how loving our family is.

Upon reaching the departure gate, every one cried. And reality struck me. Growing up doesn’t mean you take charge of your own life. Instead, it means that you’re being weighed down by more burden. You can’t go “Oh, I don’t like it therefore I’m not doing it.”.

I realized how noble my dad is. My hero for 20 years and still counting. :)

(Finally a full Zoo photo before Monkey flies)

One week later, my best friend whom I knew 7 years ago left for Australia too.
She was super excited about going over to embark on her new phase of life at the beginning.
She decided to leave Singapore almost-willingly.
But she realized that this time, she’ll be going for 2 years and all sorts of emotions struck her.
A part of her looks forward to all the Hostel Parties and crazy clubbing sessions with hot angmohs. HAHA!
And another part of her can’t bear to leave her friends, her family, her home for the past 20 years.

When she entered the departure gate, she turned back and saw that all her family and friends were standing outside the glass window, they can’t go in.
She finally realized that the depature gate that she just entered wasn’t the entrance of some shopping malls. She has to be on her own from then on. From afar, we could see tears flowing out of her eyes but we can’t help her to wipe away her tears like how we’d always do..

Stupid monkey, I know you will love the life there. We love you! :)

xoxo (:

Perfect Moment

And they strolled along the same street
Under the same Moonlight
He was holding the same beverage on his right hand
And she was holding her Ice Cream on her left hand

He repeated the silly stunts for her and flashed the familiar cocky smile
She wondered why does he still look as stunning under the Moonlight

Then he blabbered: @!#@$#$#%
And she said: Huh?
He smiled and translated: I like tonight, it’s been so long.
She said: @!$#%%
He frowned and asked: What did you just said?
She chuckled: Nothing.
And he smiled in disbelief, it’s that smile that she has been longing to see every day.

That’s the way they should be.

It’s been a long wait. It took them exactly 8 months to have a time like this again.
A time for two hearts so far away to come together.

Day 14,15

Day 14

Woke up early to do some last minute shopping.
We wanted to have some common food that we could find in our countries, so we had lunch at Pizza Hut! :D

Next, we went to visit Wuhan’s Botanic Garden!!! LOL
It’s about 70km? Very very very huge and you can’t walk finish the whole place within a day.
Jin Laoshi’s eyes glow at the moment he saw this
Without further hesitation, we hopped onto the cute vehicle.
So cute right!? hahahahah!

When it was my turn to take the wheels, we met with an accident. Doraemon Onni’s expression was super classic! LOL!

But it was super difficult to drive through this narrow road okay! :(

All smiles!
And on our way back, we met with another accident.
Not me, not me! Stop starring at me!!! :(
It was Jin Laoshi! He drove into the bushes! HAHAHAH.

After that, we went to Dong hu.
And we took the speedboat!!! Whoo~ Damn fun!! =)

YEAH~! I miss hanging out with them alot alot~ :(

And that night, Jin Laoshi left for holiday at Shanghai. We helped him with his packing and the both of us exchanged gifts. Like hahaha, but we didn’t expect anyone to prepare anything for each other. LOL.

Minnie Onni was having some motion sickness after taking the speed boat. So it was a peaceful moment with Doraemon Onni @ Starbucks. We talked about everything. From how we met, what we did, how many common things we share, how much she wants to continue learning Chinese so that we can communicate fluently, about my… I love you, my Onni. :’)

She even wrote down her address in my diary and forced me to “draw” out her address. That was supposed to ensure I am writing her address correctly. So cute of her!!! :) ))
But right after that, she gave me a surprise Korean test. Gosh! Luckily I passed!! ((((((:
And the remaining of the night was a very memorable night for me. :)

Day 15

I woke up at 8am automatically and I starred blankly at my Onnis. Doraemon Onni saw me and she banged her desk trying to hint Minnie Onni that I’m awake. I knew what they were up to and went back to sleep.

Then, we went for breakfast at Show~! Whoo!

My lovely Minnie Onni. While I was still pigging when they went for lessons in the morning, she would bomb me with lots of smses to make me wake up and wait for them to end their lessons.
She would also always ask me to help her with her cooking, because she knows that jie jie wo can’t cook! My sweet Minnie Onni, I love you alot too! :’))))))) Doraemon Onni’s like my reflection. Need I say more?

I don’t know what to say, but I’m really very glad to have my Onnis around. And they know I love them equally much. :)

우리언니:
고마워, 사랑해! :) )

I left the hostel 30minutes later than as expected. I made use of the time to do what I had been wanting to do and now I’m back~! *Waves victory flag* WHOO~~~! :)

Day 10,11,12,13

June 24, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Day 10

Lunch with Doraemon Onni and Zhang Shan Mei Onni @ Li Gong.
It was my 2nd time there. The first time was last year when we were here in Sept, but the food tastes so much better as compared to the past. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes previously. Hahaha.

My friends are doing some voluntary work @ the museum. It was Doraemon Onni on duty for that day, so we went to take a look. (:
Chu Wen Hua!!! It doesn’t sound so scary to me now. LOL!

It’s my 2nd time watching this performance but I’m still enjoying it. Nice nice! :)

Chill out @ Wen Hua Jie with our delicious Smoothie. The weather almost killed us all! =/
And Doraemon Onni forced her brother and me to have a 5 minutes phone conversation! CRAZY!

Minnie Onni joined us for shopping after that. I saw a top which I liked it alot. I wanted to walk around more and make use of the time to think if I should get it. But who knows after shopping for less than 1.5 hour, some kuku head called me and insist that I must join them for dinner. And my very supportive Onnis gladly kicked me out of the shopping mall and go for dinner while they carry on with the shopping..

It was sort of a dinner to celebrate Qi LaoShi’s birthday! Whoo~ :)

After dinner, Qi LaoShi went to fetch her neice while we had our usual slacking session @ Wen Hua Jie.

When the night gets later..

I had a shock Once I saw Doraemon Onni putting on this new dress that she just bought from her shopping spree during the day. It was that piece of top I was still deciding if I should get! Gosh, bu kui shi wo de jie jie. :) )
And so, we were ready to hit VOX’s dance floor!

Day 11

Steamboat with Onnis and Jin LaoShi @ Chicony.
Onnis were packing their luggage during the afternoon, so I made use of the free time to stroll around the campus. After that was Chicony with Yeelin.
Later at night, I recieved Minnie Onni’s sms saying: Come back to our room once you’ve bathed! We’re all waiting for you!

The first thing that caught my eyes were all these. MY BIGGEST NIGHTMARE. Everything became scary to me, suddenly.
I saw all these killer alcohol and Jin Zhi Huan’s pet line when we were drinking kept on ringing in my ears. “Liwen, he ba! He le ni jiu mei you ming tian le! Mei you ming tian, xing lai hou ni zhi you hou tian! HAHAHA!”

I knew I can’t escape, so I joined in the game obediently. I should’ve eaten lesser for that day..
Anyway, we start the game rolling in no time..

The whole piece of paper was filled with different kind of alcohol, you have to throw the dice and drink up whatever alcohol you stop at.
The beginning was easy. We just look at how we drink and laughed at one another.Until at a point of time when all of us took turns to kena this killer among killers..
2 Soju and 1 Bai jiu!!! *PUKES*
Ewwww!!!
And I think there was a ghost of something in the room. It was so freaky that all of us took turns to kena this “goodbye drink”
Poor Doraemon Onni, she kena the most no. of killer drink that night. :(
Jin LaoShi was so happy that night. He bought alot of DVDs for his children there, so he watched some of the DVDs during his free time. He decided to dress up like some cartoon characters.
LOLOL!!!
Merlion accompanied throughout the whole night. They said I told them that “I’ll be back, I’m going back to my room to puke.” But I did not return for the whole midnight. LOL!

Day 12
The next afternoon(or was it evening) when I went back to their room, I saw dead bodies lying everywhere.
We went for steamboat once everyone woke up. Our tummy felt so comfortable when we drank up the warm warm soup. :)

Later at night, Xiali popped by to give me a surprise visit. She brought me this nice fragrance flower. (:
She left after awhile and I went to watch “Nan Jing Nan Jing” with Onnis.

I told Jin Zhi Huan that his pet phrase is so true. I almost woke up seeing “Hou tian” instead of “Ming tian”. If not for puking out all my food and leaving myself an empty stomach, I wouldn’t want to wake up at all.

Day 13

Went to the book store with them and we helped one another in choosing some books.

Dinner @ Ya Mao. Kao Yu~~!!! ((:

Went back to hostel and hide inside the aircon room, the weather was soooooooo hoooooooot! :(
Super candid shot by Min’er Onni. I really miss the times lying around with them and do silly stuffs together. *teary eyes*
Pretty Min’er Onni.

Cai Hong came especially to bid me goodbye. So sweeet of herrr!!! I love it when she told me about their Colombian cultures. They are so interesting!

That was when all of us realized that I’ve got 1 1/2 day left..

xoxo (:

Day 7,8,9

June 23, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Day 7
Lunched at Bao Tong Si with Onnis and Jin LaoShi. It was their first time trying the vegetarian food.
Next, we went to visit the inside of the temple.

We walked and walked and walked under the scorching sun
Hahaha! That’s something I’d always do too! My cute Doraemon Onni~ ((:
We’re just a few stairways away from our destination~
And, here we are!!! :)
And here we go~ The space in the pagoda is very limited we had to bend down as we walked and the steps are steeper than The Great Wall’s.

Whoo~ It’s the top! We were screaming for joy when we finally reached the top! =DEvery one wrote their wishes on the wall, so we did likewise.
The most challenging part was when we were going down the almost 50M Pagoda. We had to sit and move our butts down each step as we go down.
We were on our way back to Chicony for our Milk Tea-Debrief session when I discovered that I lost my hp. When Jin Laoshi found out that I ‘ve lost my hp, he brought us back to the temple and try to search for my phone although I’ve already accepted the fact that my phone will be lost for good.
Doraemon Onni kept trying to call my phone and after calling N times, someone finally picked it up. And that person who found my hp happened to be the cabbie whom drove us back to Chicony, how careless can I get?!
So he told us to wait outside of the temple for him. It was so touching to see them being more anxious than me to get back the phone, they ran to every cab which stopped at the temple to see if my phone’s with the driver.
I always knew that my Onnis dote on me alot. But I only met Jin Laoshi during this trip, and he treats me really well too. He always bring me out to play and he’d always say “we’re a family”, how sweet can they get?!

Anyway! After we got back my phone, it was finally our Milk Tea session. We did alot of palm reading and other crappy stuffs.

Next was dinner @ Wen Hua Jie with Alexey and friends. The food sucked, big big time!
2nd round dinner at some Jap stall and we played with this puzzle for almost an hour.

We think
We frowned
We concentrate..

But we still can’t solve the puzzle. *pulls hair!!!*
So, we moved on with a Pool session.

Day 8

It was another usual shopping trip with Yeelin at Dong Men!

Followed by Michelle’s 22nd Birthday Celebration!!! (:

Minnie Onni had been telling me that she wants to let Michelle to have some Hai Dai Tang on her birthday, because Koreans always drink that on their birthdays. And so, TADA~ Ai Xin Hai Dai Tang from Minnie Onni! (:
Happy girls!

Next was Xu Tua @ Onnis’ room~
Cute Zhang Shan Mei Onni. She goes crazy when she sees snacks. (:
Look at how happily the birthday girl is smiling. hahahah.
Doraemon Onni’s hair roller
And she tries to be funny and gave it a try too. She doesn’t know how the outcome would be like……….. BAHAHAHA!!! :D D

Cheers to international-friendships at Wuhan!!! :) :)

Day 9

Steamboat @ Bei Men!! =p
Yummyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! :) )))))))))

Next, we went for foot massage! Our legs were aching all over after climbing the Pagoda.
Look at how happy she is! HAHAHA. Super unglam. Not that we give a shit about our image anyway. LOL.

She’s been making alot of noises throughout the session and all of us couldn’t concentrate. HAHAHAH.

Afterwhich was Onni’s class dinner. It was a farewell dinner for their classmate.

That night, I had my longggggggggggggg misseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed LOK LOK with Yeelin!!! ahhhhhh~!

Later, I joined the people for supper and drinks at Bei Men.

We played a no. of games that night and at least 27 bottles of beers were gone. LOL!
Good thing that nobody K.O, instead the peeps decided to hit the newly opened club, BOX.Sha She Fu and his wife-to-be. They are going back to Germany to get married happily ever after, how sweet?! So happy to be there to witness everything. ((:

xoxo (:

Day 4

Chill out session with Onnis at some coffee house along Wen Hua Jie. Time flew by so fast that we spent our whole afternoon there chatting. (:

No, not this coffee house. We wanted to try it initially, but we end up choosing

This coffee house with cute layout.
But their milk tea really sucked. Tasteless! :(

But I really love their companion. Love love love~! ^^

Although I was given room 620 to stay in during my stay, I was rarely in that room throughout the whole trip. I only used it for bathing and washing up.
And it was my first nightmare for this trip to discover that the little terrorists live just opposite my room! *SCREAM*
You will see them climbing around the corridoor
And they will pester you to play catching with them. It requires alot of energy to tame them down.

After a series of exciting events with the terrorists, it was finally a peaceful time with Onnis. We munched on the snacks as we watched the TV :)

Day 5

Lunch was this yummy curry with Onnis and their Korean teacher, Jin laoshi. He’s a great guy, you will know when I blog about the following events. ((:
Wondergirls Onni recieved a parcel from her boyfriend, it contains all the Korean products that she’s been craving for. HOW SWEET~!
I’ve been eating these biscuits during the trip, yummmmmmm!

Because I’ve been parroting the Onnis when they conversed in Korean andthey claimed that my pronounciation is very accurate, so they decided to give me an intensive Korean Language Course.

And I think that it really works! Coz I can now understand what they were saying when they speak in Korean. ((:
As a reward, Doraemon Onni gave me this Winnie The Pooh story book which she had since the age of 7. I was touched enough.
Next, she said that she’d like to leave a note for me on the book as memory, and told me to read it out for her. I read finish the message and I felt so sour inside.

And when she finally read the message for me herself, I couldn’t help it but to tear. T_T

It rained during the 2nd half of the day, so we stayed in and helped Doraemon and Min’er Onni with their presentation for the next day.

They were so hardworking and I’m really Impressed by the amount of effort they’ve put in. The Onnis had been burning midnight oil for this presentation.

Day 6
Day 6 was lunch with Onnis at Wen Hua Jie, the food is very nice!

Minnie Onni and I crashed into Doraemon Onni’s lecture at night to support her presentation. It was my first time stepping into Blk 8 after 5 months. Anyway, she did a wounderful job!! So happyyyy~ (:
The lecture was really boring, so we sneaked out of the classroom right after Onni’s presentation and went for shopping while waiting for her to end her lesson for Shao Kao to celebrate. (:
So proud of my Doraemon Onni!!! (((:
Just take a look at how happy she is! (:

CHEERS TO OUR FRIENDSHIP!!! ((:
